| |
Varilux® lenses are made of three main areas
blended into one to let you see sharply at all distances. Whatever you
want to focus on, simply point your nose at the object, then raise or
lower your head until it is in focus using the part of the lens that
corresponds to the distance of the object.

For reading or close
vision, use the bottom section of the lens. Keep your head still
while moving text in front of you to feel the peripheral
adaptation.

This time, look at an
object at arm's length distance to pass through the area for
viewing middle-distance objects.

Look at an object at
least 20 feet away for the clear long-distance vision.
For distance viewing, use the top section of
your spectacles.

of the space around you such as when you look both ways before crossing
a road. |

Get the most from your
Varilux® lenses |

If you are at a junction when
driving, you may find it better to move your head from side to side
rather than just your eyes. The amount of head and eye movements you
will need to make depends on the types of Varilux® lens you have chosen. |

You may find it helps to
remove your spectacles occasionally to rest your eyes. |
| |
|
| |
If you have a pair of
bifocals, try to resist the temptation to use them except for a little
occasional reading. |
